Shopping Centres in Kuwait

Al Bustan
Tel: 2571-1660

Al Bustan is next to Al Fanar Shopping Centre in the heart of the shopping district in Salmiyah. There are several outlets selling clothes, including Kookai and Christian Lacroix, as well as a number of reasonably priced shoe shops. The bakery on the ground floor is definitely worth a visit for some freshly baked, naughty-but-nice treats. The basement atrium houses a popular café for the locals and the Second Cup coffee shop on the ground floor is usually busy. On the first floor, Calvin Klein sells delectable lingerie and Prémaman sells everything the new mum could need, from maternity clothes to baby strollers.

Al Fanar Shopping Centre
Tel: 2571-2284

This shopping centre opened in 1997 and has since become a popular location in Kuwait for shopping and recreation. The mall itself, despite being eight years old is relatively modern and with 24,000m² of retail space in the centre of Kuwait's busiest commercial district, New Salmiyah, it is an excellent location for a day's shopping spree. An added bonus is the fact that on the same street, Salem Al Mubarak Street, you will find a number of other shopping options such as Zahra Complex, Leila Gallery, Salmiyah Plaza and the Sultan Centre. Al Fanar has an excellent range of fashion stores, the ground floor has a number of exciting brands as well as a delightful French restaurant where you can take a well-deserved lunch stop. There is also a large Zara on the Mezzanine floor and a multi-screen cinema on the first floor. The complex has two basement level car parks which can get a bit busy at weekends as well as a ground level VIP parking area.

Al Kout Mall
Tel: 2393-0010

This mall opened in 2004 and extends from the waterfront into the Arabian Gulf via two piers. It has fast become a popular choice with residents and visitors especially as it is situated on the coast and is an excellent setting with good parking facilities. There is a fantastic range of stores selling local and international names such as Zara, Next, Giordano, and Calvin Klein lingerie. The Okaidi shop sells a range of funky kids’ clothing. There are several restaurants and cafés in the mall for that relaxing snack or hot coffee, as well as a yacht club nearby and a 1.6 km public beach. In addition the North Pier has a four screen cinema showing various international films. The South Pier includes the Vegetable, Meat and Fish Market and a Sultan Supermarket.

Al Mohallab Centre

Designed to look like a ship, and known to the locals as 'Titanic', this modern three-level mall in Hawally has a wide range of shops and restaurants, as well as four cinema screens. The mall has clothes (Mango, Women’s Secret, IKKS, Birkenstock and more), jewellery and photo shops, and a number of nice coffee shops such as Costa. The foodcourt has a large variety of different food outlets making this a pleasant mall for prolonged periods of shopping.
